A medical coder should know a wide range of codes, including Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System(HCPCS), and International Classification of Diseases Tenth Revision Clinical Modification (ICD-10CM).

Medical Coding is a process of converting Diagnosis, Treatment and Procedure into alpha numeric codes.
