This position is located in the Joint Operations Centre of the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO) in Kinshasa. The Joint Operations Officer reports directly to the Chief of the Section and is responsible for integrated situational awareness, crisis management and operational coordination. Within limits of delegated authority, and under the supervision of the Section Chief, the Joint Operations Officer will serve as the Deputy of the JOC. S/he is responsible for the coordination, and supervision of the responsibilities and services provided by the JOC, including the management of an integrated team comprising staff from across the mission, including military, police, and security components.
