GROUNDSKEEPER

Job Summary

Under general supervision, supervises, plans, performs, and assists in the gardening, groundskeeping, and care of landscaping of school grounds; applies herbicides, fertilizers, and other materials necessary for the care and management of landscaped areas; responsible for irrigation systems servicing landscaped areas; responsible for the use, care, transporting, and maintenance of landscape maintenance equipment such as power mower equipment and mowing of all lawns within the district; operates tractors and related equipment and implements in caring for grounds; performs pruning and care of trees within the district and operates lifts and related equipment; performs other work related to landscape care; may work with maintenance crew on other maintenance and construction work as assigned.
