IR SPECIALIST

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations and handling all industrial relations issues within the organization. Provide Employee Relations advisory services, to ensure adherence to employee’s relation policies, procedures, and agreements.

Duties:

❑ Handling of disciplinary issues and processes

❑ Develop and maintain effective policies and procedures so that labour disputes and grievances are minimized.

❑ Interpret and ensure compliance with South Africa’s labour laws re-conditions of employment.

❑ Advise management of all legal requirements.

❑ Participate in employment contract agreements.

❑ Represent the company in legal hearings on labour issues, e.g., CCMA, Labour

Department

❑ Make recommendations for changes to existing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with new or proposed government regulations.

❑ Handle dispute resolution and manage the grievance process.
