The Forest Investment and Reporting Branch (FIRB) coordinates forest investments through the Forest Investment Program (FIP) to achieve multiple social, environmental and economic benefits. FIRB provides leadership and expertise in the management of forest carbon, timber supply, climate change adaptation, habitat restoration, and cultural values as these pertain to forest investments and funding source priorities. The Forest Investment Program (FIP) oversees funding for government funded silviculture including related federal and provincial funding. The branch also leads the ministry’s Integrated Investment Planning process.
