Reporting to the General manager the incumbent will be responsible for managing all aspects related to Production and Harvesting of Blue Berries including specialised activities related to setting the crop through to harvesting.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Matric certificate

Post school qualification in Agriculture (Bsc. Agriculture degree) a must

Plus at least 5 years’ management experience in a large commercial agriculture operation. Sound knowledge of farming in tunnels especially in berry or grape production would be advantageous and confirmed by references.

Fully computer literate in MS Office with good working knowledge of MS Excel

Must have excellent people management skills

Good written and spoken English skills. Ability to speak other local languages would be advantageous.

Have proven knowledge of Harvesting Season procedures and production.

Have proven knowledge of Global G.A.P, Farming for the future, Siza Social and Siza Environmental Audit background
