Key Responsibilities:
• Assist Fiscal Laws Committee in performing its functions as leading national think tank on fiscal laws.
• As Secretary of ICAP’s Fiscal Laws Committee, remain updated on the latest laws and pronouncements including ICAP’s taxation matters.
• Prepare updates on the recent changes in taxation laws or any legal pronouncement issued by courts in respect of tax laws for circulation amongst the members.
• Assist ICAP in making sharp and focused recommendations to the Government of Pakistan on fiscal matters.
• Assist ICAP in preparation of Federal and Provincial Budgets annually.
• Manage relationships with relevant statutory bodies especially the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economic Affairs, FBR, also with Provincial Tax Authorities and with other related institutions and important stakeholders.
