JOB SUMMARY Under general supervision of the Principal or Head Custodian, keeps assigned rooms, areas of buildings, or office spaces clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly; performs other work as assigned. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THIS POSITION May include, but not limited to: 1.Working from oral and written instructions and assignments 2.Sweep, scrub, mop, wax, or buff floors or other building surfaces with hand tools and/or machines 3.Vacuum rugs and carpets 4.Dust and polish furniture and woodwork 5.Empty and clean waste receptacles 6.Remove cobwebs 7.Clean blackboards, windows, mirrors, and walls 8.Scrub, clean, and disinfect restrooms, shower rooms, and locker rooms and fills soap and paper dispensers 9.
