Youth Worker (Cavan/Monaghan) Job Description and Person Specification

Responsible to: Include Youth Manager/Coordinator

Salary: €35,887

Based: Include Youth offices, Cavan (covering Cavan/Monaghan)

Working week: 35 hours (unsociable hours will be required at times)

Job Purpose
• To assess the employability and personal development needs of young people referred to Give and Take programmes.
• To develop and deliver a young person-centred programme utilising both individual and group work interventions which address the complex barriers to accessing education, employment or training.
• To ensure delivery on individual targets and fulfil requirements as per agreement with Tusla.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
• To assess the needs and abilities of young people referred to Give and Take programmes and agree an individual action plan for each young person.
