Job Description:

AYR Motor Express Inc. is looking for a Safety and Training Coordinator to evaluate, monitor, and develop strategies to control risks in the workplace ensuring compliance with government programs and regulations. Coordinators conduct training for new and present employees.

Main Duties:
• Conduct orientation for new drivers and owner-operators.
• Utilize the truck simulator for ongoing training.
• Conduct road tests of potential drivers to determine their skill level *if class 1 licensed.
• Develop and conduct ongoing training programs.
• Maintain records of all safety and training.
• Ensure Safety and Compliance audits are conducted.
• Assist drivers in maintaining safety and compliance.
• Maintain records of all roadside inspections.
• Ensure tickets are paid and records kept.
• Monitor US and Canadian carrier profiles.
• Monitor participation in all cross-border customs program (C-TPAT, CSA, FAST)
• Investigate cargo and accident claims.
