Summary of Job Purpose: Equipment Operators maintain County roads and right-of-ways and/or landfills; ensure safety guidelines are followed to protect the crew and the public; operate light and heavy vehicles and road equipment; and perform a variety of manual tasks.

Equipment Operator I: This is the first level of the Equipment Operator class series. Employees are assigned as a Landfill Attendant and/or as an entry level road crew worker, working under close supervision and being assigned a variety of equipment operations and manual labor duties in maintaining County roads and right-of-ways.
