Chief of Laboratory or Head of Laboratory
• Provide advice to those requesting information about the choice of tests, the use of the laboratory service and the interpretation of laboratory data.
• Serve as an active member of the medical staff in main lab, collection center.
• Relate and function effectively with NABL other accrediting agencies, Appropriate administrative officials, healthcare community, the patient / clients.
• Define, implement, and monitor standards of performance and quality improvement of the medical laboratory service or services.
• Monitor all processes in the laboratory to determine that reliable data is being generated.
• Ensure availability of sufficiently qualified personnel with adequate training and experience to meet the needs of the laboratory.
