LEAD PROJECT ENGINEER

Purpose:

The Lead Project Engineer (LPE) is a project professional responsible for planning, leading, and managing all engineering activities associated with a capital project. LPEs are expected to have greater project leadership skill and experience in capital projects.

Responsibilities

·Contributes to the Project Objectives Letter.

·Is responsible for acquiring engineering and design resources, as needed, during the life of the project.

·Makes sure that engineering contractor staffing is adequate, through the design contractor, to meet project objectives.

·Leads the engineering portion of the FEL process, including preparation of the project scopes of work, completion of the different stage estimates, and the development of the Production Design Basis.
