On behalf of our client, we are hiring for the Sous Chef position.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The sous chef is the 2nd in command in the kitchen and plays a vital support role to the head chef. The sous chef will assist the head chef with many of his / her functions such as stock take, variance reporting, creating kitchen schedules, developing recipes, ensuring proper hygiene and sanitization in the kitchen and more. The sous chef will act as the head chef when he/she is not present in the kitchen.

Duties and Responsibilities

· In addition to fulfilling all of the food preparation and food service roles of a cook at Peppertree, the sous chef will be responsible for the following:

· Manage all activities in the kitchen, including food preparation and production, and management and training of kitchen staff
