EDEN TO ADDO CORRIDOR COORDINATOR

The Corridor Coordinator will provide integrated stewardship extension work and support services to facilitate landowner commitment and management of the biodiversity of critical ecological linkages within the Eden to Addo corridor landscape (Eastern Cape and Western Cape - South Africa).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Facilitation of Biodiversity Stewardship Processes within Identified Corridor Areas

· To provide information to key landowners and managers in respect of relevant biodiversity stewardship options and facilitate and provide support for the negotiations and development of subsequent stewardship agreements to secure critical linkages of priority habitats (as Nature Reserves or Protected Environments under the NEM:PA Act).

· Consolidate negotiations for stewardship agreements.

· Preparation and compilation of stewardship site biodiversity assessments for potential stewardship sites.
