Applications are invited for the position of Senior Project Associate to work on the sponsored research projects entitled “Integrating satellite and UAV remote sensing for Land Surface Temperature (LST) and soil moisture estimations to map water stress in an agriculture-dominated Critical Zone Observatory (CZO)” funded by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The project will involve handling of UAV-based thermal images and processing them to compute LST and soil moisture using hydrometeorological data and emperical equations. The prospective candidate are expected to have some experience in satellite and UAV remote sensing and a reasonable background in numerical methods. A candidate with a Master’s degree in earth science/atmospheric science/geospatial science with relevant experience should be suitable to handle this work.
