This assignment aims at increasing capacities of laywer ensuring improvement of fair trial rights, and increased provision of quality legal aid in line with inter-national standards (component 2).

The objective of the mission is to review the legal regulation and operating procedures of the Moldovan Bar Association focusing on strengthening the mechanisms of admission to the profession, functioning and transparency of the Licensing Commission, exclusions of any risks of corruption and non-equal treatment in the process of the admission to the profession. Both the checking of qualifications when examination is organized for persons applying to become trainee lawyers and the qualification examination for entering the Bar will be assessed.
