This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position: The incumbent serves as a Counseling Psychologist (Substance Abuse) at the U.S. Army Health Clinic in Baumholder, Germany, performing professional counseling and addiction medicine treatment in support of patients with an alcohol and substance abuse diagnosis.
Duties
• Utilize complex rehabilitation principles to conduct comprehensive substance abuse evaluations of eligible patients referred for consultation.
• Works collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Develops and implements comprehensive treatment plans.
• Provides individual, group, and family counseling.
• Documents case findings, diagnoses, and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
