Answers inquiries from clients concerning products, their uses, and the industry at large. Provides information, quotes, credit terms, and other bid specifications to clients. Negotiates prices, terms of sales, and/or service agreements; prepares contracts and submits orders.

Collects monies due from accounts. Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes salable features. Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained. Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.

Sales representatives, wholesale trade (non-technical), perform some or all of the following duties: Promote sales to existing clients . Identify and solicit potential clients. Provide clients with presentations on the benefits and uses of goods or services.
