Role Description

The Musical Theater Producer is the person who makes it happen! Some of the work he or she does by his or herself. The rest is delegated. Here are the main areas of responsibility:
• 1. Venue logistics. Arranging proper rehearsal space and performance locations.
• 2. Rehearsal materials. Everything from actual or stand-in props to scripts and scores to furniture and technical requirements.
• 3. Sets, props, costumes production. Ensures that all of these are created in a timely fashion. Oversees the work of those that are creating them.
• 4. Performance logistics. Arranging for everything that requires transportation to be transported and stored.
• 5. Performance technicals. Makes sure everyone has what they need, including translation and projection equipment, chairs and lights for musicians, and anything else needed.
