The European Air Transport Leipzig GmbH (EAT) officially commenced operations at Leipzig/Halle Airport as an aircraft maintenance operation and registered cargo airline in the spring of 2008.

It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of DHL Group and is part of the DHL Express business division. In collaboration with DHL Air Austria and DHL Air UK Ltd., EAT covers the largest part of the European DHL network.
