Eurac Research is an interdisciplinary research center located in Bolzano, Italy. At the Institute for Alpine Environment, we perform ecosystem research with a special focus on global change in mountain environments. The team conducts regional, national and international research projects dealing with ecosystem and landscape ecology of mountain environments with a special focus on global change, biodiversity, ecosystem services and sustainable development.

The current position is embedded in the Joint project German research foundation - Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) and South Tyrol “SEHAG II” (SEnsitivity of High Alpine Geosystems to climate change since 1850) at Eurac Research and supports the regional assessment of climate change impacts in South and North Tyrol. The aim of the position is to build up a GIS data base and to model vegetation and species distribution in different study areas.
