The main role of the Head of Maintenance is to be responsible for the management of maintenance department and assist with Environmental Management Plans (EMP), and the assessment of assets, in line with OHS legislation, Singita Standards of Excellence and SOPs.

Key Responsibilities

• The Head of Maintenance reports to the Technical Services Manager and General Manager.

• Control budget to a zero-variance result by ensuring efficient cost planning and execution; and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure the departmental budget is adhered to and all payments are made timeously.

• Correct use and maintenance of equipment to ensure the highest level of productivity and safety.

• Implementation of the emergency procedures and ensure the required staff training and emergency drills take place.

• Assist in the assessment of the major company assets and plan for the replacement of identified items over a period.
