WEST POINT POLICE DEPARTMENT, located within the Town of West Point, Virginia, is seeking applicants for the position of Police Officer I. Applicants must be 21 years of age. Virginia DCJA certification preferred; criminal background and DMV history required.

Physical examination to include a drug screen. A polygraph examination and a psychological evaluation will also be required. Position is full-time and permanent following a probationary period.

Position may be a night shift position. In the event a suitable candidate is not selected, consideration will be given to non-certified candidates. Non-certified applicants will be required to attend a basic law enforcement academy at the department's expense and to sign a tenure agreement.
