We are seeking a Counter Salesperson for a permanent role based in East London, Eastern Cape

Duties & Responsibilities

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
• Grade 12 with at least 2 years relevant experience
• Knowledge & use of cash register / POS machines
• Excellent communication skills and well presented
• Conflict management skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Knowledge of hardware and industrial tools advantageous

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:
• Greeting customers and taking orders.
• Processing payments.
• Assisting customers with queries and providing solutions quickly.
• Possessing excellent product knowledge to inform and increase sales.
• Following up on orders to prevent delay and frustration.
• Updating the product inventory.
• Cleaning the customer area during quiet times to ensure a neat appearance.
• Ensuring that each customer leaves the store satisfied.
