This position is located in the Anchorage Hearing Office at 188 W. Northern Lights Blvd. Ste 610, Anchorage, AK 99503. NOTE: This position is being filled on a full-time, permanent basis. One or more positions may be filled under this announcement. Additional selections may be made within 6 months of the closing date of this announcement. This position is at the full performance level of the GS-8 grade level.

Duties

Once selected for this important position, you will contribute to the Agency's mission through direct and personal service to the public. The Office of Hearings Operations handles appeals that have been filed by people who have been denied Social Security, Supplemental Security Insurance (SSI), or Medicare benefits. You will provide support to Administrative Law Judges and other professional employees in processing cases filed under the Social Security Act.
