R. Mathieu (Opticians) Ltd (Mathieu Opticien), a leading optical group in Mauritius with over 65 years of experience, is currently seeking an experienced and skilled optometrist to join our team of eye care professionals.

Responsibilities:

As an optometrist at Mathieu Opticien your key duties will include:
• Perform full comprehensive eye examinations to evaluate the visual acuity and overall eye health of patients
• Diagnose and treat eye conditions such as myopia, astigmatism, hyperopia, and presbyopia
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids as needed
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to manage patients with systemic diseases that affect the eyes
• Provide guidance and education to patients about proper eye care

Skills and Experience:
• A BSc (Hons.) or Masters of Optometry or equivalent
• Fluency in French and English. Mauritian Creole would also help
