Geographic Information System Specialist

This role is based in Midrand, but the candidate will be required to travel to/from mines regularly.

Qualifications:
• B.Sc. Honours in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) preferred
• Degree in GIS, geography, environmental studies, or related field with demonstrated capabilities in GIS
• Minimum requirement of technical diploma in Geographical Information Systems and Spatial Data Analysis

Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years working experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of Esri ArcGIS desktop software, including ArcMap, ArcPro and other web mapping solutions
• Strong understanding of geodatabases and geodatabase applications
• Ability to work with vector and raster datasets
• Experience using ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Portal, or another web mapping system
• Experienced with GPS data collection and data management, including Collector for ArcGIS
• Ability to use and edit shapefiles and geodatabases (personal, file, and enterprise)
