Introduction

The Engineering supervisor is responsible to direct and manage the output of various discipline engineering teams. The role holder is required to integrate and implement engineering standards and systems whilst ensuring that equipment is maintained and operated effectively for optimal performance across the Mine operations. This is a legal appointment in terms of Regulation 7.4 or 2.9.2 of the MHSA.

Duties & Responsibilities

Develop & implement prescribed standards & procedures to ensure legal SHE compliance within area of responsibility

 Create a “Visible felt Leadership” SHE culture within area of responsibility

 Implement and maintain Risk Management program measures to continually improve SHE conditions within area of responsibility

 Have vast experience of Winding plants and legals knowledge pertaining to the Winders

 Have knowledge of TMM and Crushing plant

 Ensure all subordinates are trained and competent in order to fulfil their roles safely
