Duties & Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Involved in the day to day operations • Do purchase orders as requested through purchase quotations or departmental requisitions • Follow-up on status of current purchase orders and confirm delivery dates • Ensure accuracy of documentation before goods receipt is done • Ensure accuracy of documentation before documents are sent to Accounts Department for processing • Adhere to safety regulations • Provide procurement administration support to projects • Ensure BEE compliance and adherence concerning suppliers • Prepare request for quotations and submit to potential suppliers • Analyse quotes and make recommendations • Negotiate terms and conditions and conclude supplier agreements (price, quality, delivery, payment terms, etc) • Provide sample components to R&D for first part approval • Place initial orders and follow up (supplies.
