Key responsibilities:
• Liaise closely with the teachers and Director of Inclusion to understand what is required for each lesson and what specific support is needed
• Support the pupil by: building a rapport and positive relationship with the child; supporting them with speaking and listening skills; motivating and encouraging them; engaging them in learning in both teacher led and child initiated activities; targeting areas for support and challenge; assisting the child with social interactions and behaviour management strategies; supporting the child with transition times including managing their expectations of the school day and timings; developing methods of promoting and reinforcing the child's confidence and selfesteem
