Our client a sustainable social solutions company is looking for a social scientist to provide specialist consulting services to clients in the areas of Social and Labour Plans, Mining Charter implementation and reporting, Socio-Economic programme development and reporting, stakeholder engagement and client management.

Duties

Core product/service development and implementation

Compilation and implementation of the company’s core products and services (specialising in no less than three):
• Social and Labour Plans (development and compliance reporting)
• Mining Charter (interpretation, application and compliance reporting)
• Local Economic Development Plan Design
• Socio-Economic Development Programmes
• Stakeholder Engagement (including Public Participation Processes)
• Baseline Socio-Economic Study Surveys
• Social Impact Assessments
• Sustainable Development Action Plans
• Resettlement Programmes
• Sustainability Reporting
• Compliance assessments and gap analysis
