Reporting to: Head Chef

Purpose of the role: To assist the Head Chef in the smooth running of the kitchen ensuring that departmental standards are maintained whilst ensuring minimum wastage and maximum customer satisfaction.

Roles & Responsibilities:
• To make sure all food production is up to the standard in co-ordination with the standards of performance manual
• Limit the wastage in the kitchen by working methods and control of stock, i.e. rotation, proper storage
• Ensure temperature checks on all hot and cold units are done and recorded
• To comply with the roster, for availability to work, time keeping and to follow the procedures
• Be actively involved in the kitchen hot plate during peak service periods
