DRIVER (Light Vehicle Manual Driving License)

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Driver with a valid manual driving licence to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods and materials efficiently and safely, ensuring timely service to our clients. Responsibilities
• Safely operate light vehicles, including vans and flatbed trucks, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct pre-journey vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any issues promptly.
• Deliver goods and materials to various locations within designated areas, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries.
• Assist with loading and unloading cargo, employing proper handling techniques to prevent damage or injury.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation for each trip undertaken.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding schedules, delays, or issues encountered during deliveries.
• Follow all health and safety procedures, including adherence to COVID-19 protective measures where applicable.

Skills
• Proven experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver, with a valid manual driving licence.
• Strong driving skills with a good understanding of road safety regulations and vehicle maintenance basics.
• Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues.
• Experience operating flatbed trucks or similar vehicles is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
• Warehouse experience is beneficial for understanding cargo handling procedures.
