Security Guard - Male / Female

As per the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE), the minimum basic salary for security guards classified under semi-skilled category is AED 2,500 per month as of January 2026. This includes AED 500 accommodation allowance and AED 300 transport allowance. Overtime is paid at 125% of the hourly rate for the first two hours daily.

Foreigners need an employer-sponsored employment residence visa (Category 18 for private sector guards), valid for 3 years starting 2026. Employer covers AED 200 work permit fee via MoHRE and AED 320 medical examination. Processing takes 5-10 working days after job contract approval.

No university degree needed; high school diploma or equivalent suffices with 1 year security experience preferred. Must complete SIRA Basic Security Guard Training (40 hours) and pass fitness test. Age limit is 21-50 years with minimum height 165 cm for males.

Submit passport copy valid 6+ months, attested academic certificates, police clearance, and medical fitness report. Employer files MoHRE contract and work permit application online. Processing fee is AED 100, completed in 3-5 days.
