Multi Skilled Technician (Civil Work & Plumbing)

To sponsor a spouse and up to 3 children under 18, a plumber requires a minimum basic salary of AED 4,000 per month if accommodation is provided by employer, or AED 10,000 without accommodation, as per 2026 rules. The residence visa for family members costs AED 1,155 each initially. This applies across emirates under ICP guidelines.

Plumbers need at least a high school diploma or vocational plumbing certificate attested by the issuing country's authorities, plus 2 years relevant experience verified by an experience letter. Employers submit these for MOHRE work permit approval. No formal trade test is mandatory unless specified by the emirate municipality.

Required documents are a passport valid for at least 6 months, 6 passport-sized photos, attested educational/vocational certificates, 2 years experience letter attested by home Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and signed employment contract. Employer pays AED 100 for contract attestation at MOHRE typing centre. Medical fitness report from UAE-approved clinic costs AED 350.

Plumbers work maximum 8 hours daily or 48 hours weekly, with overtime compensated at 125% of hourly basic wage up to 2 hours daily. Annual paid leave is 30 calendar days after 1 year continuous service. Weekly rest day is paid.
