Welder positions in Al Ain

As per Cabinet Resolution No. 70 of 2023, the minimum wage for UAE nationals holding a vocational training certificate suitable for welders is AED 5,000 per month in the private sector as of 2026. This applies to full-time employment and excludes allowances. Foreign welders have no statutory minimum, with wages set by contract.

Foreign welders need a UAE employer to apply for a work permit quota from MOHRE, followed by an entry permit costing AED 200 valid for 60 days. Upon arrival, complete medical fitness test (AED 350 approx.), then obtain 2-year residence visa for AED 370 and Emirates ID for AED 100. The entire process takes 5-7 working days after entry.

MOHRE classifies welders under skilled workers requiring completion of secondary (12th grade) education or vocational training certificate plus minimum 2 years relevant experience. Qualifications must be attested by the issuing country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and UAE embassy. Age must be between 18 and 60 years for work permit eligibility.

Submit passport copy valid for 6 months, 4 passport photos, attested degree/vocational certificate, 2 experience certificates, and medical fitness report. Employer handles MOHRE submission for work permit approval (AED 100 fee) and contract registration within 14 days. Labour card issued post-residency for AED 200.
