This applies to full-time employment and excludes allowances. Foreign welders have no statutory minimum, with wages set by contract.

Foreign welders need a UAE employer to apply for a work permit quota from MOHRE, followed by an entry permit costing AED 200 valid for 60 days. Upon arrival, complete medical fitness test (AED 350 approx.), then obtain 2-year residence visa for AED 370 and Emirates ID for AED 100. The entire process takes 5-7 working days after entry.
Q What education and experience do I need to qualify as a welder in UAE?
MOHRE classifies welders under skilled workers requiring completion of secondary (12th grade) education or vocational training certificate plus minimum 2 years relevant experience. Qualifications must be attested by the issuing country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and UAE embassy. Age must be between 18 and 60 years for work permit eligibility.
