About the Company/RoleA rapidly growing MedTech company is seeking a Design/CAD Engineer to lead the scale-up of its manufacturing lines. This role is ideal for an experienced CAD design engineer with demonstrated experience in leading production scale-up, tool design, and process optimisation in an industry setting. Responsibilities include:Tool design of assembly jigs and fixtures using SolidWorks Prototype development and testingProcess optimisation with a strong focus on injection moulding, mould flow analysis, casting processes.Collaborate with manufacturing to deliver robust, scalable tooling and process improvements.Designing and implementing tools, jigs, and semi-automated processes to optimise throughput.Skills & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalentMinimum 5 years’ hands-on experience in a manufacturing or product development environment (essential)Experience working in startups, medtech, or regulated environments is highly regardedStrong tooling and production planning knowledge; familiarity with injection moulding, vacuum casting or similar techniques is highly valuedStrong leadership, project management, and communication skillsAble to work independently and take ownership of complex challengesMust have full and unrestricted working rights in Australia (Australian PR or Citizenship required)TO APPLY: If you would like to discuss this vacancy further, please call Nikita on 02 8310 5843 or email nnatu@i-pharmconsulting.com.If this role is not suitable, Nikita is also available to discuss other possible positions or answer any general questions regarding your career and the current market.
