With that in mind, we encourage all qualified applicants to apply.Job DescriptionThe Area Operations and Maintenance Department is seeking to appoint a Maintenance Technician. This is a permanent full-time position in Carlingford, Sydney and the successful candidate will be required to work from this location. The position supports the NSW North Facility Management Group and reports to the Facilities Manager.ResponsibilitiesThe Maintenance Technician will help provide and maintain a range of facilities including meetinghouses, administration facilities, grounds, and mission quarters, which provide Church members places where they can worship, learn, pray, make, and renew sacred covenants.Specific duties include servicing, repairing or replacement of key facility systems, minor plumbing and electrical repairs, painting and plastering, carpentry, window, and door repairs, tiling, supporting technical issues and general handyperson duties. You may be required to travel within NSW.QualificationsHigh School graduate, plus: 1 year trade school, or 2 years facilities / property maintenance experienceA valid, current driver’s license (essential)A great attitude, attention to detail, and proven customer service skillsTechnical skills to support and troubleshoot meetinghouse technology and the ability to learn new applications.Experience in operating machinery, equipment, and a range of tools relevant to maintenance workHealth and safety experience especially with handling cleaning agents and chemicalsThe ability to lift and carry 10kg regularly, climb step ladders with ease and work at heightsHigh integrity and uses wise judgmentA commitment to ongoing education and development, both technically and professionallyA good command of the English languageProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) with the ability to quickly learn new applications.
