Job Description
Overview

The Plumber assembles install and repairs pipes, fittings and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems and include cutting and threading pipe, assembling and installing valves, pipe fittings, and pipes composed of metals, such as iron, steel, brass and lead, and nonmetals, and conducting tests to identify leaks. Installs and repairs plumbing fixtures, such as sinks, commodes, showers, water heaters, and repairs and maintains plumbing by replacing washers in leaky faucets, mending burst pipes, and opening clogged drains, and may weld holding fixtures to steel structural members. In addition to the plumbing duties, the plumber will also be responsible for escorting the subcontract workers, buses, and trucks to various locations.

Responsibilities
• Responsible for performing all assigned duties as safely and efficiently as possible to maintain a safe work environment.
• Maintains, installs and repairs all aspects of plumbing including, but not limited to, fire suppression, pool operations and maintenance, water, gas, and sanitary/storm sewer systems.
• Modifies, repairs, replaces and maintains component parts.
• Able to read and interpret Work Orders, parts requests, drawings/schematics/blueprints and manuals in order to accomplish assigned duties.
• Accomplishes periodic inspections, recurring maintenance requirements and associated documentation. Maintains systems to conform to written guidance and applicable changes.
• Maintains required operating forms and records and ensures proper use of all assigned shop equipment. Responsible for on-the-job training as required.
• Schedules work and perform quality assurance through job site visits.
• Responsible for escorting the subcontract workers, buses, and trucks to various locations.
• Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with contractual, functional and mission requirements.

Qualifications
• Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Plumbing Journeyman license through any U.S State.
• Backflow certification preferred.
• Must possess driver’s license with at least 1 year of remaining validity and ability to drive a Standard Transmission vehicle.
• Must possess a US Passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity.
• Must be able to obtain Common Access Card (CAC)
• Must have communication skills in English, both written and oral.
• Experience
• 1-4 years related experience.
• Skills:
• Good verbal and written communication skills to direct employees, prepare reports for upper management and facilitate/disseminate information.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment requires handling multiple tasks at a given time.
• Able to utilize computer automated systems to perform assigned duties.
