As per the UK Government, the National Living Wage for packing jobs is £12.50 per hour for workers aged 21 and over as of 1 April 2026. Workers aged 18-20 receive £9.55 per hour and those under 18 receive £7.55 per hour with no exceptions for entry-level warehouse roles. Overtime must be paid at the same minimum rate for hours above 40 per week.
Q Do I need a visa to apply for packing jobs in the United Kingdom as a non-UK resident in 2026?
As per the UK Government, non-UK citizens require a Skilled Worker visa sponsored by a licensed employer for packing roles, which must meet the £38,700 salary threshold or the going rate for the occupation code 9259. Seasonal Worker visas are not available for permanent packing positions and applications must be submitted via the gov.uk visa portal before travel. Q What documents are needed to apply for packing jobs in the United Kingdom?
As per the UK Government, applicants must provide a valid passport or national identity card, proof of address dated within three months, and National Insurance number for payroll. Right-to-work documents such as a visa vignette or share code from the gov.uk service are mandatory before any offer can be confirmed.
