TJB Plumbing Co Ltd is looking for an experienced plumber to join our growing team.

The role involves a mixture of general plumbing, full bathroom installations, heating work and maintenance across domestic and commercial properties throughout Greater Manchester. No two days are the same, and you’ll be responsible for managing your own workload. Jobs will be allocated to you, and you’ll be expected to attend site independently, assess the work required, solve problems as they arise and complete every job to a high standard without supervision. This role is best suited to someone who is confident working alone, takes ownership of their work and can make decisions on site when required.

Typical projects and work include:
• General plumbing repairs and maintenance
• Full bathroom installations and refurbishments
• Toilet, basin and tap installations
• Shower installations and replacements
• Electric shower installations
• Finding and repairing leaks
• Radiator installations and replacements
• Pipework alterations and repairs
• First and second fix plumbing
• Soil and vent pipe installations
• Washing machine and dishwasher pipework
• Unblocking and repairing waste pipes and drains

What we’re looking for

The successful candidate will:
• Be a qualified plumber with an NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent)
• Have proven industry experience
• Be confident working independently and able to diagnose, plan and complete jobs without supervision
• Be able to manage their own workload efficiently
• Have excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Take pride in producing high-quality workmanship
• Be organised and able to plan and manage their day efficiently
• Be reliable, punctual and professional
• Have excellent customer service and communication skills
• Hold a full UK driving licence
• Have their own van and tools
• Gas Safe registration would be advantageous but is not essential
• Level 3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Unvented Hot Water Systems would be advantageous but is not essential
• Have the right to work in the UK

What we offer
• £20.00–£22.00 per hour (depending on experience)
• Fuel card provided for business use
• Potential for overtime
• Emergency call-out work will be introduced as the business continues to grow, providing additional earning opportunities
• 28 days’ annual leave, including bank holidays
• Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
• Friday: 8:00am – 1:30pm, provided 40 working hours were completed during the previous working week
• Christmas bonus
• Full-time, permanent position
