We’re proud to be a certified B Corp – one of only seven hotels/hotel groups in the UK to earn this prestigious accreditation. This means we’re part of a global community of businesses committed to using profits and purpose to make a positive impact on people and the planet. If you want to be part of a team that values sustainability, inclusivity and meaningful work, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Food Beverage Assistant to join our talented team and help deliver outstanding service across our Hotel and Conference Centre. Whether serving in the Bar, Restaurant or supporting Meetings, Conferences and Events, you’ll play an essential role in creating memorable experiences for every guest.

What you’ll be doing

As a Food Beverage Assistant, you’ll support the smooth running of all FB operations - from preparing and serving food and drinks, to setting up meeting rooms and special events. You’ll provide attentive, professional service, ensuring every guest feels genuinely welcomed and cared for.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Preparing and serving food and beverages to the highest standard of quality and presentation.
• Assisting with mise en place and ensuring all areas — including restaurant, bar, lounge, terrace, and conference spaces — are clean, organised and beautifully presented.
• Supporting the set-up, service and breakdown of conferences, banquets, weddings and private functions.
• Maintaining product and menu knowledge to make recommendations and discreetly maximise sales.
• Handling guest queries and minor complaints courteously, always seeking to exceed expectations.
• Working closely with colleagues across departments to ensure seamless service.
• Assisting with stock control, equipment care and general housekeeping to maintain efficient operations.

Depending on your area of focus, you may:
• In the Bar: Prepare cocktails and beverages to specification, maintain bar presentation, and deliver prompt, friendly service.
• In Conference Banqueting: Set up and service meeting rooms and events, ensuring every function runs smoothly.
• In the Restaurant: Greet and serve guests, maintain buffet presentation, and provide professional table service throughout breakfast, lunch and dinner.

About You

You’ll have a warm and welcoming manner, with a genuine passion for hospitality and guest service. Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel or restaurant environment would be an advantage, but full training will be provided.

You’ll also bring:
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A professional appearance and positive attitude
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings
• A proactive approach and keen eye for detail

The Hotel reserves the right to close the vacancy early, should suitable applicants be found.

If you have a disability and require any adjustment to be made to the recruitment process in order for you to participate, please contact careers@edgbastonparkhotel.com or call the People Culture Team on 0121 414 8927.
