Job Description
As a Furniture Carpenter, you will play an essential role in creating and repairing wooden furniture items. You will be responsible for working from home but must have access to appropriate tools and materials.
• *Key Responsibilities:**

- **Furniture Construction:** Build high-quality furniture pieces like tables, chairs, and cabinets based on design specifications, ensuring durability and appeal.

- **Repair and Restoration:** Fix damaged furniture, including sanding, refinishing, and replacing parts to restore items to their original condition.

- **Material Preparation:** Select and prepare materials by measuring, cutting, and shaping wood accurately to meet project requirements.

- **Design Collaboration:** Collaborate with clients to understand their design preferences and provide suggestions for improvements, ensuring satisfaction with the final product.

- **Quality Assurance:** Inspect finished furniture for flaws and ensure it meets quality standards before delivery or installation.

- **Tool Maintenance:** Maintain and care for woodworking tools and equipment to keep them in valuable working condition, ensuring safety during use.

To be successful in this role, you should have 7 to 13 years of relevant experience in carpentry, particularly in furniture making. You need strong woodworking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret designs. A good understanding of various types of wood and finishes is important. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently are also essential. Communication skills will help you understand client needs and provide exceptional service.
