JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Summary

To provide technical expertise and guidance on pharmaceutical packing machinery, ensuring optimal performance, compliance with regulatory standards, and continuous improvement in packaging operations at all sites of SGO.

Area Of Responsibility

1. Technical Expertise: Act as the go-to expert for all types of packing machines (blister, bottle, strip, sachet, cartonators, Vial filling, Tube filler, Pen device injectables etc.).

2. Troubleshooting & Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting for complex machine issues and support maintenance teams.

3. Process Optimization: Drive initiatives for efficiency improvement, reduction of downtime, and cost optimization.

4. Training & Development: Conduct training for operators, maintenance teams, and engineers on machine operation and best practices.

5. Continuous Improvement: OEE improvement, and automation upgrades, manpower productivity, Bench marking .

6. Vendor Coordination: Liaise with OEMs for technical upgrades, spare parts, and performance enhancements.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle and feel and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push, and bend.

Ability to navigate office, lab, and/or plant floor working environments, stands, ambulates, and reaches.

Must have the ability to wear applicable personal protective equipment utilized at the site, including but not limited to respirators, safety glasses/goggles, and safety shoes.

They will be travelling 15-20 day a Month, and should be ok to travel to all sites globally

Knowledge:
• GMP, regulatory compliance (USFDA, EU, WHO).
• Packing technologies and serialization systems.
• TPM, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies. (Not Mandatory / preferred)
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Travel Estimate

Up to 50% | They will be travelling 12-15 days a Month, and should be ok to travel to all sites globally

Job Requirements

Educational Qualification

Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering degree or equivalent.

Experience

8–12+ years in pharmaceutical packing operations with hands-on expertise in multiple machine types.
