cleaning staff - urgently required

As per the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM), the minimum wage for cleaning staff in the private sector is 200 KWD per month as of January 2026. This applies to all contract bids and manpower supply companies, with overtime paid at 1.25 times the hourly rate for hours exceeding 8 per day. Salaries are protected through the Wage Protection System (WPS).

Foreign cleaning staff need a job offer from a PAM-approved sponsor, followed by a work permit application costing 10 KWD, valid for 1 year. A medical fitness certificate from an approved clinic (costing 20 KWD) and police clearance are mandatory before residency visa stamping at 5 KWD per month. The process takes 2-4 weeks via PAM online portal.

No formal education is required for cleaning staff roles, but applicants must be aged 21-55 years and pass a medical exam confirming no communicable diseases. Prior experience of at least 1 year is preferred for faster visa approval, as per PAM guidelines effective 2026. Kuwaiti nationals get priority under localization quotas of 10% for such roles.

Required documents include a valid passport (minimum 6 months validity), 4 passport photos, attested birth certificate, and sponsor's commercial license copy. A medical report from a GAMCA-approved center and HIV-free certificate must be submitted within 7 days of arrival. Applications are filed online via PAM portal with a 15 KWD processing fee.
