Building Guard

As per the Public Authority for Manpower, the minimum wage for security guards in the private sector is 250 KWD per month as of January 2026. This includes basic salary plus 15% for accommodation allowance if provided by employer. Overtime is paid at 1.25 times the hourly rate beyond 48 hours per week.

Foreign security guards require Article 18 work residence permit sponsored by a licensed Kuwaiti security firm, valid for 1-3 years as per 2026 regulations. The process takes 2-4 weeks after employer files through PAM portal. Medical fitness certificate from approved clinic and police clearance are mandatory.

Applicants must be aged 21-55, physically fit with height minimum 165 cm for males, and pass basic security training; no formal education required as of 2026. Prior experience of 1 year preferred but not mandatory for entry-level. Clean criminal record verified by home country police is essential.

Required documents include valid passport (6+ months validity), 6 passport photos, attested high school certificate, medical report from GAMCA-approved center costing 20 KWD, and employment contract. Employer submits via PAM online system; processing fee is 10 KWD. Fingerprints and biometrics taken at arrival.
