Water may seem like such an everyday thing. but that’s what makes it so important. every day, every living thing needs it.So, join us on our mission to ensure every community has access to safe water for life - we believe that’s worth striving for.About The JobWe’re looking for an experienced Water Serviceperson to join our team of everyday heroes in Auckland!In this role you will assist with the repair and maintenance of water reticulation networks, on a reactive and scheduled basis, to contract specifications. This will involve a wide range of activities such as repairing leaking water mains (50 mm to 200mm), repairing and installing service pipes and leaking hydrants, repairing meter connections or replacing meters when required and servicing all valves and hydrants.What You’ll NeedWe are looking for someone with more than 6 months relevant work experience as a trainee or water labourer. You will be licensed and skilled at operating most plant and equipment.You will need to be physically fit, health and safety focused, and work well in a team as well as independently.A full class 1 license is required.We are looking for someone who might be starting or part-way through their water industry qualifications, or if not you will be willing to start on this pathway with us.All preferred candidates will be required to complete preemployment checks to the employer’s satisfaction.
