We're committed to building a high-performing, inclusive culture where our teams can grow and thrive.We're the largest 100% New Zealand owned national plumbing merchant with 56 stores and over 1,000 shareholder tradies up and down the country.About The RoleAre you a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced trade environment?Do you have a passion for customer service and the drive to lead from the front?Plumbing World is looking for a motivated and experienced Trade Sales Supervisor to join our team in Rotorua.As our Trade Sales Supervisor, you'll play a pivotal leadership role within the branch, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the trade area while supporting and developing your team to deliver exceptional service to our valued trade customers.This is a hands-on role where you'll lead by example - particularly during our busy early morning trade rush - ensuring customers receive prompt, efficient, and friendly service. You'll also support branch operations by coordinating stock movements, coaching team members, and stepping into a leadership role in the absence of the Branch Manager.Your ResponsibilitiesOversee the efficient day-to-day running of the trade areaLead from the front with exceptional customer service and sales abilityAssist the Branch Manager in supervising and developing the trade teamPrioritise and coordinate daily team schedules to ensure key projects are completed on timeHandle customer queries and provide tailored product and delivery solutionsBuild and maintain strong relationships with trade clients and team membersMonitor and report stock issues to the Branch Inventory ControllerMaintain high standards of health and safety within the branchThis is a full-time permanent position, 42.50 hours per week, Monday to Friday position with rostered Saturdays. Specific days and start/finish times can be discussed during the interview process.A Quick Glance At What We Need From YouPrevious experience in team leadership or supervision, preferably in the trade/building/construction industry.Knowledge of plumbing products and the industry is advantageous but not essential (we will train you!)
